Birthday Cake Overnight Oats
Delicious cake batter flavored overnight oats, made with healthy ingredients.
Cook Time: 4hr 5 minutes (5 minutes prep, 4 hours chill time) Yield: 2 small jars
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tablespoons almond butter
- 2 tablespoons 100% maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 tablespoons sprinkles
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the oats, chia seeds, flaxseed, and salt until combined.
- Add the almond milk, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the bowl. Stir vigorously until well-incorporated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Place in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to thicken.
- Remove the oatmeal from the fridge and gently stir in the sprinkles. Transfer the oatmeal to small jars or bowls for serving.
- Top the overnight oats with coconut whipped cream and additional sprinkles, if desired.
Notes
- Store leftovers in airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
- It’s best to store without toppings, and add toppings right before serving.
